We know choosing the right camp comes with a lot of questions. Below youâll find answers to the most common questions about Camp BEE, including registration, programming, logistics, and what families can expect before and during camp.
Camp BEE will be held in Ferndale, Michigan from June 22nd, 2026 to June 26th, 2026.
Our New Jersey session will take place in Holmdel, New Jersey from July 27th, 2026 to July 31st, 2026
Ages 3 through 9 can attend our in-person camps. We are currently developing a hybrid program for ages 10 through 12, which will include multiple virtual meet-ups and one in-person weekend gathering. Stay tuned for more details!
Unfortunately, we cannot provide staffing for additional children.
Yes! We will confirm your preferences for bathroom use and changing prior to Camp BEE.
Of course! Camp BEE is a neurodivergent-affirming, anti-ableist camp. Your child is welcome as they are.
Camp BEE runs from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, and from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday.
Children will be divided into classrooms where they receive one-to-one pull out therapy, while also participating in group activities and vendor events (e.g., ice cream truck, water play day, community helper speakers, therapy animals, and more!). All activities are led by licensed speech-language pathologists.
Parents and guardians can participate in ongoing on-site training. Topics include IEP advocacy, motor-based speech therapy, AAC, literacy, sensory regulation, and more.
For privacy and to avoid distractions, parents are not allowed in classrooms. If you need to see your child, a staff member can bring them to you. Families will also have access to Mikayla and Jordanâs business phone numbers and may join Group Me chats for Camp BEE 2026 Michigan or Camp BEE 2026 New Jersey to communicate with staff.
Camp BEE prioritizes meeting a child where they are and building upon their baseline to promote sensory regulation, social interactions, and effective communication. Research shows that children with CAS often need intensive therapy over several years. While we aim to be realistic about the amount of progress achievable in one week, progress can come in many forms, including use of communication strategies, engagement with peers, sensory regulation, and more. We will do our best to ensure your child has a memorable experience and gains foundational skills to support continued growth long after Camp BEE concludes.
Registration opens January 16th at 8:00 PM EST and closes February 28th, 2026, at 8:00 PM EST.
You may choose to pay in full or divide the payment. If dividing, 50% is due upon confirmation of application review and acceptance, and the remaining 50% is due four weeks after the initial payment.
Early Bee Special: $1,200 if registered before February 1, 2026.
After February 1, 2026: $1,400.

Families should pack a lunch and snacks for their child due to allergies and vendor kitchen requirements. Camp BEE will provide water and gluten-free snacks as needed.
Camp BEE is not nut-free. Families with nut allergies must disclose this in the application so we can manage potential exposure from nearby peer lunches.
No, families are responsible for lodging. We will provide suggestions for local Airbnbs and a nearby hotel where families can gather after camp.
After registration, Camp BEE staff will provide instructions for joining a private Group Me chat to connect with other families.
